Bravely Default 3DS Review

This is a game I have heard a lot about and with me being a lover of RPGs and JRPGs you know I had to go out and buy it as soon as possible. Anyway, it is time for a review.

Well bravely default is a RPG game, you have got 4 character all of which are able to have different jobs, which affect their stats in some way making them either a tank or a glass cannon it all depends on what you are wanting for your team. Your job in this game is to awaken the 4 crystals that have been shut down and is causing havoc with the world. The 4 main characters names are Tiz, Agnes, Ringabell and Edea. Tiz is the main character but depending on where you are in the story they all become the main character. This for me is great as it means we get to know all of the characters better and form a bond with them which just makes for an even better time playing the game.

A lot of the graphics in this game look hand drawn which is amazing in an rpg. This is one of the few games where the 3d slider will come in useful, the reason why I know this is because I wanted to test out what a city looked like and it was amazing. It doesn’t matter whether you are battling an enemy or walking around in the map the graphic style is amazing and I loved every 38 hours it took for me to beat this game

A lot of the time I will play a game that has crappy music and just listen to my own music as it is simply better. This wasn’t the case with this game as it has one of the best soundtracks I have heard in a long time. The music in the city’s is fantastic and it is a gift for your ears. The mixture of some modern and classic music in the one soundtrack amazed me and I actually bought a pair of gaming headphones to be able to listen to the soundtrack at amazing quality. Even if you don’t want the game just go listen to a YouTube playlist of the song next time you are doing some work and come back and tell me what you think.

If you couldn’t tell I personally love this game and everything about it. The only bad part is the final boss and it has 4 phases where one phase you can’t attack as he heals his full health after every turn. Even though that final boss is hard, it still makes the game great and is well worth the £35 it costs.
