United As One by Pittacus Lore Review

This is a book I have waited for a long time and now it’s finally here I couldn’t help myself but stay up late on the night before the release and wait for midnight to come around so I could download it on my kindle. The book is finished and it is time to see how good a finale Pittacus is able to write.

he Mogadorian invasion has come to Earth, and they have all but won the battle for our planet. Their warships loom over our most populous cities-like New York City, Tokyo, Moscow, Beijing, and New Delhi-and no army will risk making a move against them. The Garde are all that stand in their way . . . but they are no longer alone in this fight. Human teens from across the globe, like John Smith’s best friend, Sam Goode, have begun to develop Legacies of their own.

The Garde have always known there is power in numbers. If they can find these new allies and join forces with them, they just might be able to win this war. The time has come for the Garde to make their final stand.

This is a series I have loved the whole way through, and I haven’t come across a single book that I didn’t love. It saddens me a little bit to know that I won’t be able to read more about the adventures of the group with powers but I am also happy to know that I am finally going to find out the ending to their battles in order to find out if the earth is going to survive the invasion.

I am writing this review on Sunday, 2 days after the British release of this book and if it wasn’t for a case of food poising I would have written this yesterday but I was too ill to do anything including reading. So much happened in this book that it was hard to keep track of everything but I found that to be perfect for this sort of finally. This is the book where the war is going to end so, of course, it is going to fast paced. This is also the book where we get to see so much growth with the characters as they have got to battle with the grief of people dying the whole time as well as making sure that no one else is going to die.

I find the writing in this book to be almost perfect, the only reason why it was not perfect is because in the last chapter of the book marina says they only have 3 scars when in fact they have got 4 (their scars are for 1,2,3 and 8) if it wasn’t for that mistake then this book would be perfect. Even then that mistake came in the epilogue of the book so you don’t even have to read that part. I couldn’t put this book down I loved it so much. I was up till 4 in the morning on the day of its release and then on Sunday I started reading it again when I felt so much better I had it finished within the next 2 hours.

When I finished this book I had the same sort of feeling I had when I first finished the harry potter series all the way back in 2009 (I didn’t finish the series till I was 13 even though I had the book when I was 11) I felt happy as well as sad and just wanting the books to never stop coming.

For me I found this to be one of my favourite reads of all time and has knocked Ready Player One from number one of my all time favourite books. I just found this to be one of the best finalies of a book in a long long time.
