Zom-B Goddess by Darren Shan Review

I have finally finished the final book in the series and it feels great to finish yet another series of Darren Shan, this leaves me with only one more to go. Anyway, it is time for a review.

The Story

B Smith has escaped from the murderous clown Mr. Dowling, only to find herself trapped by someone she had once thought of as an ally. As B learns more about the twisted history of the zombie virus, she prepares to make a final stand against her enemies-even if it means making the ultimate sacrifice.

The final thrilling installment of Darren Shan’s Zom-B series is sure to knock you dead!

Taken from Goodreads

Since November 2016 I have been reading through this series taking breaks every now and then to make sure I didn’t get sick of a series that had 12 books in and now I am finished. After the 8th book it was all I read as I just wanted to know more about the world, the characters and what was actually going to happen to the zombies and people. The series had everything you would want in a series about billions of people dying and turning to zombies. I can honestly say that I loved every second reading this series as I think as the series went on it got better and better which seems to be the case with a lot of Darren Shans book. With other authors the first book is always the best as it has to show everyone what there is to come and then the rest don’t live up the hype of the first. This is not the case here as every book is just as good as the one before it if not better.

We get all the answers we would want in this book, it answers a lot of questions about the history with the two brothers and the son/nephew. Not only that but Darren couldn’t of just left us with a simple ending, oh no he had to through a twist in there to keep the readers on their feet and I loved it as it was so unexpected at the time.

Darren Shan did a great job of describing all the events that happened, he did such a good job that the pictures weren’t need but were a happy addition as it makes it easier on the imagination. Everything to the fight scenes to the scenes with B and her baby we described to perfection and it didn’t take much imagination to imagine what was actually happening.

I think that this book is a perfect ending to a great series. It has twist and turns on every page, it has all the back story you could want and it has a fight scene that makes all the others look like a play fight. If I didn’t like the Saga of Larten Crespley so much then this would be my favourite series from Darren Shan but it only just loses. Give this series a read it is only 2500 pages (probably slightly more) so you will fly through it in no time.
