God of War 3 Remastered (PS4) Review

Before the release of God of War 4 later next month i wanted to get back into the series so i am ready for the release. Anyway, it is time for a review.

You play as Krtoas as your aim to overtake the gods and make sure you kill the god of the gods Zeus. When Kratos and the Titans get to the top of the mountain to try to attack Zeus they are knocked back down, this is where Kratos falls into the River Styx. When in the river Kratos loses all of his weapons and the river is weakening him, this is where he finds Athena who sacrificed herself in the previous game to safe Zeus. Since her death she has come to the knowledge that mankind will not survive with Zeus in power. This is where she gives Kratos the Blades of Exile and tells him to go and kill Zeus, in order to do this Kratos has to destroy anyone in his path.

The story is great from start to finish, it is a very story heavy game even though a lot of the time it doesn’t seem to be that way with all the combat that goes on. With every fight you take on with a God then there is a reason for it which makes you want to work harder in order to kill the god and continue on the path for Zeus. You get to find out why Kratos wants to kill Zeus and what exactly he is wanting revenge for which just makes the story that much better to listen to.

The way the game controls is possibly the best i have ever felt in an action game, with the amount of combat you will need good controls and it goes to show just how much time and effort the developers took to make sure that the controls were nothing less than perfect. The mixture of being able to attack and just before you are able to get hit dodge out-of-the-way gives you a reason to not only beat the game but to also to get good at the game as you don’t want to die and have to do the whole thing all over again.

As this is a remaster of a game i have played before then i could instantly see the difference and that difference just makes the game a pleasure to play. You get to see all the extra details on the bosses and the areas you are walking across makes the game go from being really good to be great and i would even say it is a must play on a PS4.

To have everything in one game with good controls, story and graphics seems to be a bit of a rarity at this point in time but God of War 3 Remastered that will take you about 10 hours to beat is worth the money and it is one of my new must recommend games for the playstation 4.
